in Dickie's case he is in the process of fitting hydraulic rams(the flash twat )

in my case, brand new Creative weedeater beem narrowed 4 inches and with adjusters fitted plus dropped spindles on the front.
and
on the back,at the moment i am 1 spline lower,altho i have all the kit to irs the back with adjustable spring plates too

also will you be doing the work yaself or paying someone else to do it???

Thats almost how i did our's. instead of cutting and turning the center i slotted the beam as you would fitting adjusters tuned the inside coller to where i wanted if hight wise then plated it over with a hole for the locking bolt. if i want to fit adjusters in the future all i have to do is cut the plate off an
fit them.

Its the same principle for both really.
You can cut and turn if you like but its alot better to fit adjusters.
You have to cut and weld the beam anyway,so you may as well fit something you can adjust up and down at the same time.
For vans they about 60/100 quid,for bugs its about 20/50 (my pound sign dont work )
These will give you a drop of about 0-6 inches.
You dont wanna go to low if you bug/bus is on ball joints,or else you can knacker them up because they are at too much angle.
You can go down about 4 inches before you start suffering this and a real shit ride quality.
If you want to go lower you will need to get dropped spindles.
150 quid for bug
300-600 for bay
300 for split
This will give you a spot on ride quality and about 9 inch travel if you use adjusters as well

Back end you just take off the springplates and position 1,2or 3 splines higher..
job done

What about red9 they do a kit 2-4inch drop or 4-5.5inch and you don't have to weld anything

True but you dont get any height adjustment,well you do a little bit.
They do away with vw's suspension leaves in the front and run completely on a solid metal bar and coilover shocks.
If you only want a normal size lowering job its seems quite resonable

Depends really.
I started off lowered about 4 inches,then 6,then about 8,now ive hydraulics
If your happy with one height then it seems like a good idea,but personally i like to have the choice
