Oh yes mate she can still go down a good bit................

Dont forget im still on my og spindles and not dropped ones.......
also i gotta watch for when i dump the, er i mean, gently release the clutch for back end squat...............specially if i gets close to the 250 horses my turbo system is capable of
I was given a tip to use type2 (bus) rear bump stops as they are harder....but i will be changing most of the back end altho im NOT gonna IRS her.....

My main decision i am gonna have to make is am i going to go hydraulic suspension on her........................

My main aim is to get her ON THE ROAD for Action....which means i will still have LOTS of shitty jobs to do...but time and money dictate everything to me at the moment...........

Once ive run her to and from work a few times then i will looksee at dropping her down more.................lookin at my backend as she is now i reckon i can down her at least 2 more splines...........giving me a total of 3 splines drop on the back end.............

As usual i am on a MASSIVE learning curve, as i intend to build the 2165 lump MYSELF
My idea behind this is........................................end result ME MYSELF and I will have done ALL the work............something i am VERY passionate about................
Also,knowing myself as i do................next year when i move house,if i get the sort of place i want,then the COMPLETE car WILL come apart again and get re-done again....................

Jobs that i will still have left over to do are............complete re-wire................re-trim my door seals.............carpet and sound proofing.

What i and certainly to some extent other poeple have to realise is.............ive done her to be a daily runner NOT a show car...so there ARE blemishes,runs and the odd lumpy bit in the paint.................after all she HAS been done OUTSIDE by hand and roller and aerosol can.
Altho, taking this ^^ into account a helluvva lot of folk up here are fucking gob smacked at the finish i have managed to achieve,which REALLY makes all the hard boring prep work worth while.....
You can see for yasell in a few weeks................

Jobs left to finish are......................
Fill n paint both doors........................
fit n wire up front lights............
Wire up starter motor............
fit fuel tank.............
fit final 4 front bolts into floorpan( bastard of a job)

put in petrol
fit battery............
turn key............
and drive
and YES it WILL be that simple

I guess you mean only when you have fitted the hydros??
You dont wanna be driving round on 3 splines mate,your drive shafts will just snap in the end..just find freddies posts on vizzy

Me thinx hydros will be done mate but just done next year.....

Cheers for the "well done" mate................i must admit i am lookin forward to havin a break from doin it as its taken a fuckin helluvva lot outta me...............................and i WILL be havin a rest before i starts the split



Out of interest Dickie.......................whats the general consensus on runnin a sleeper/hot street motor on hyrdos???
i mean is it advised to use hyrdos on a fast motor..............are there any problems in doing so...............is a hyrdo system up to the job

Cant see any real problems mate as long as you have accumulators set up on all 4 wheels..
Only problem i could see maybe would be if your booting it and you hit a pothole,it wont react fast enough..but lowered bugs wouldnt be that quick anyway.

yea dude 3splines is not cool! lol. ive been running 3splines and its a new pair of rear tyres every 3months, also all the gearbox oil cant get up to the bearings to lube them, ive also torn the axle gaitor (new 10months ago) from the silly angle of the axle.

looks cool tho lol

Guess what wheels ive just bought off vizzy???????
200 notes with good tyres,all the right size for the split
guy said the chrome will clean up well and i will repaint the black again in satin and im gonna polish the ally as well

I saw this matey.............................200 notes is a decent price too

Must admit i saw the advert not long after it had been put up and was gonna offer the boy a choice brm's or mint wide 5 steelies i have...

soon as i saw you offer the 200 notes i thought id best not as i want my balls intact
i think a couple of the folk on that thread will have a lippy on................but fuck em they should have stopped fuckin around...i likes your style tho................i'll give 200 notes...........when can i get them

Ive always loved them and the fact you cant get them in the uk easily makes them all the more wantable.
He didnt post for hours after i offered the money,thought he was doing a pm deal...but there mine now
Not bad considering they have conti tyres on the front the right size and one good trye on the back (ive got spares in the gargage waiting for the backs).
Im gonna polish the shit out of them so they will look as good as i can possibly get them.

Didnt mean to get the same as you mate,even though their only 15's but i do love the fuck out of them..
Im gonna keep my old ones still,they need a bit of a repaint anyhow.
They are getting harder and harder to find these days so im gonna kepp them and keep swapping around when i fancy

I got up bright n early today to get my doors painted

end result of todays work is................................I now az front lights working and secure rear lights working front and rear indicators working horn working wipers working .................................just gotta sort my number plate light.....i think it has a dodgy earth......

er.......im sure there was summin else i did
