SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
Right then the wife has decided she wants to sell her Bug.
The Bug was 1st registered on 01/08/1971 and is 1285cc.
We bought the car 2 yrs ago from a classic car collector in Aberdeen.
The owner before us has looked after her extremely well and we have kept up that tradition regardless of cost.
We fitted a new clutch and main crank oil seal last year( clutch didnt really need doing but because the engine was out we just went ahead and did it).
She HAS had some welding work done before, but, to my knowledge nothing major.
The car itself is pretty much in standard condition except for the following and is in really good nick all round( i DONT use words like mint etc cos different people view things in different ways).....
Empi 8 spoke wheels(black)
After market steering wheel.
After market exhaust( bugpack i think but will comfirm)
Front seats( i was told Porche seats but i am not sure so will put piccies of the seats up for you to see)
After market CD player( only bought at Xmas just gone)
Push button start.
The Bug is at standard height NO adjusters in the beem and standard width.I actually think this is the OG beem.
The car has NOT been messed about.
At the moment the Bug is in the Garage getting checked out and new rocker covers fitted.
Therefore at this moment in time i only have the 3 piccies below but once i get the Bug back(this monday or tuesday) I WILL take loads more piccies of the car, underneath inside, under the seats etc.
The hard bit is gonna be my location,Elgin North East of Scotland.
Price............£2,800 ONO
OR
the wife would consider a deal on a nice Mk3 or 4 Golf of similar value
Anyway, here's the 3 piccies i was on about

( i will add the bumpers in the piccies have been REMOVED from the car) The wife has just said she will throw the bumpers in aswell if wanted but they will need a clean up.
MOT wise, i am not sure till i get the car back(the wife left the ticket in the glove box) If it is a short MOT i WILL re MOT it.I am THAT confident she will fly thru.
Tax wise again i will have to wait till i get the car back,BUT she IS Tax exempt.
I have a few MOT's going back 5 or 6 yrs, old reciepts of work done in Aberdeen and Mold(wales) and we have the OG handbook.
Once i get the car back i will update this thread with piccies AND description, ie marks/scratches etc.( i am sure there are a few small marks but i am NOT prepared to list them from memory)
Thanks for taking the time to look and lets see what Golf's you have to swap
cheers
