Posted a few pics when i joined up but thought id put a little pic thread here too

How it was looking end of last year...



not much to update since then really....

took all the interior out the other week to paint the floors, evrythings good, not rotten and no non-intended rust that i can see.

hammerited in black.

while i was there i took the beam out and commenced on a small mission to get a bit more clearance... i now have 1" of clearance, ace

sunroof also came out and fell to pieces in my hands. luckily managed to find a 2nd hand one in much better condition, so il spray that soon and get it fitted, along with my new seals (bloody expensive! thanku vwheritage! grr lol)

also had 2fit 4new draintubes to the sunroof undertray, 3out of 4of the originals were blocked so thought i may aswell replace them, all working good now so it shouldnt leak!!

currently sitting like this with no roofrack...

original golde sunroof in working order with golde handle,
new sunroof seals, drain tubes and 2nd hand rust free sunroof panel fitted at a cost of £150
in past 5yrs its had nearly everything underneath replaced, beam, brakes, fuel lines, track rods, wheel bearings, all lines...
cb perf drop spindles
narrow adjustable beam
rayvern hydraulics
safari front windscreen
tmi vinyl seat covers and door cards (not mint, but better than most original seats)
smart car front tyres
recon 1600 engine, goes really well, never let me down!

mot for another couple of months, wont take much to go through the next, dipped beam doesnt work, may need brakes adjusting, dont think any welding needs doing!

Value wise................motors seem to be hanging around on the for sale bits for a good while it seems...
Bare in mind this is MY opinion and prices oop here near me are way different than darn sarf............
Also keep in mind, to some, the rat loomk dont appeal..........

if this were MY bug and keeping in mind i just sold my wifes spotless almost totally standard 71 bug for £2800 cash, i would look at putting this up for sale any where between £3000 and £4000...............BUT for that price i would be selling it with FULL MOT and EVERYTHING sorted on it.....................i'll await the flaming now
Out of interest......the front beem on yours would be ball joint......would i be correct??????

If you DO decide to sell ( and i really hope your not FORCED to) have a think on if you would maybe sell the hydraulics seperate...
Cos, depending on if they would fit king n link pin beem and the price is in my range i may be interested in them for my oval

its a ball joint front beam dude! so no idea how k&l differs on shock mounts??!

i only may have to sale if i get this other car im looking at

edit: splines.... 3 i think, but it was already down a little bit when i got it so cant b 100% sure. i took it down 1inner and 1outer if i remember right

i do like a good razor, but prefer a lowlight, and this is much cheaper than that
