Hi guys, i'm after a bit of advice.
where does everyone go for their MOT's and service and repairs etc.??
looking for somewhere that's a bit more understanding and sympathetic about the old beetles and buses.
I'm still learning to do bits an pieces myself, but want to find a garage that'll do all those bits that i can't do (or don't have the skills and knowledge to do!) and do a decent job, and carry out welding, servicing etc, for a novice like me, without ripping me off.
any advice from FDK'ers gratefully recieved !!!

Hello mate , there a few on here that can help with mending it , I'm sure they will be along soon , for Mot iwould recomend the Rev on here , he's a tester And bug and bus owner . I will pm you his number in a bit

cheers, i'm gettin seriously pee'd off with getting ripped off. I don't wanna give the garage that i've been to a bad name (he might have done some decent work for others, and besides i'm not one for kiss and tell) but don't wanna go back there (even tho' they're supposed to be a VW specialist!!). He f**ked up my electronic ignition and left the fuel filter siting on the exhaust manifold and it melted. (WTF.... could have easily been an engine fire!!!) so if the REV can do MOT's that would be great. and i want to do as much as poss myself but i still consider myself a newbie and i'm no mechanic so if other FDK'ers can help me out (or better still ... teach me) with basic resto/repairs that would be awesome.

there a few over glos that would give you some pointers i would think . maybe advise you job to job . theres a lots of wanky so called vw macanics out there i recon . il pm you the revs number now . tell him i gave you his numbers and your a member ot the fdk

Wheres the Rev based? (Garage name). normally get mine done in Glos but work in Chelt so may be easier.

Mine's due in May (so a couple of months yet!!) but, kingsditch is a 5 minute drive down the road from where i work. happy days !!

i goy mine ready today had to back twice cuz i forgot the stearing wheel and just before i wanted to leave it pssed down , will try again Thursday
