on the stranded bus carb the wire to the choke and that bit on the side go to the + side of the the coil dont they ?

Yes. should be three spades on the wire. choak. shut off valve and coil.

cheers ba . theres no wire at the mo i dont fink . il knock one up before i go to ciren and try and fit the standard carb
