When I left Brizzle last weekend the bug played up, did the same this morning (haven't used it in between).
When I put my foot down a bit (not ragging it) it looses power, a bit more and it moves. Once warm I didn't notice any problems.
Advice please.

blocked fuel filter( if you have one)
have a looksee at your your points........rotor arm.............dizzy cap.............any black marks on the points or rotor arm give em a clean...

failing that you may need to look at plug leads.....could be breaking down........

You could also have an air leak at the base of the carb or vacum pipe.

Fitted new points, dizzy and rotor arm tonight, so hopefully that will sort this out. Cheers for having a gander G, I'll be down Saturday, what times best?
Also fitted a fuel filter and ran the car to check for leaks, when searching for leaks I put my hand behind the dizzy, it gave me a buzz, spotted the wire connecting the dizzy to the coil is slightly exposed, will this matter? should I get it sorted?

Drove to work in her today, she played up a bit at the start again though .
Hoping that was coz I fitted the new filter, ran fine by the time I got to Barnwood road.
Can only see a trickle of petrol in the filter, swear it used to be more than that in my old Golf.
