rite then , she lent it out and when it came back it was hard to start and once going would only tick over with the coke thing out . she drove it back to chelt no prob , thats 25 miles but still the same when it got here .

we put a teners worth of diesel in it to dilute petal if it had been put in . there weren't much of either in it at that point.

im going to try and a have a fiddle with it but not sure what im going to find .

if anyone want to take a chance they can have it at £350 .

the other alloy is in the boot i think , it was on the car when it letf .

its taxed and tested til end november

would a diesel car normally have a choke

it has what looks like a choke , what it does is bring the tick over up a bit . it helps it start and run smooth for a min from cold in winter even though its just like having you foot down a tiny bit . its a standard thing , not after market btw

its probly the air flow meter they are quite a common problem on tdi's about 40quid from vw

would putting petrol in it cores that ?

possibly, if its had unleaded in it clean the sensor on the injector pump it mite have washed some shit on to it

now i just need to know now to do that . whats it look like ?

look for a box like thing with pipes comin out of it at the front of the engine ,there should be a plug with 2 wires comin ouy of it in the bit it plugs in to should be the sensor . the air flow meter is a little box inbtween the air filter and the induction pipe with anither little plug on it. hope that helps

all so check the fuel filter its under the car by the tank if its partly blocked it could make it suck in air!
