Found a fuel leak on the bus today and whilst replacing the leaky pipe, I found this shiny thing.




The top turns but I'm not sure what it does. Will I bugger it up if I fiddle with it??

Looks like a fuel regulater to me. what /where do the pipes come and go to?.

Fuel goes as follows:
Tank
Pump (standard looking mechanical)
Shiny thing
Tee
Carbs x2

will be nice if you turn it up and it go's loads faster

just noticed you said manual pump. supriesd you needed one with a stock pump.

I knew that bit.

It looks like a normal mechanical fuel pump. Not electric. I can understand why fuel injection might need regulating but not carbs????

If you were yousing a elec or high volume pump you need to keep the pressure down or you would be flooding the engine by over powering the float/ neadle valve and filling the bowl with fuel. carbs normaly need 4/5psi.
