doin a ball joint pass side upper, the hole is much bigger on the top than the bottom,the standard ball joint for late bay upper is physically much smaller than what i need, gsf went back to 68 n cudnt find a bigger ball joint to fit the hole on mine, heritage said there isnt a bigger one... have i got a beam off an earlier bus on mine? or does anyone know what ball joint i need? Your beam wont be wrong as all late bays had the same beam..earlies and splits had a different bolt pattern.

Dont forget the holes are tapered,are you just looking at the holes and they look smaller,or have you tried it in the hole??

Cheers mate! got sum vernier calipers and the top hole inside diameter is roughly 34.6mm tapering to 27.4 at the bottom, And the bottom hole inside diameter at top is 21.9mm tapering to 15.9 at the bottom, so def both different

Thats seems odd but maybe normal, i dont really know..

had one done today. did you buy the chinese ones or the german made ones. ive had cheap ones in the past that would not fit at all. to big for the hole and would'nt press in.

When refitting it point the dimple on the nut forwards inline with the wheel.
