Howdy doody folks,


right then, up for grabs ere we have my scooby 2 litre ej20 engine.

I bought this about a year ago but am not going to use it so its time to move it on....


It is a 1996/97(i cant remember which year exactly:rolleyes:) japanese import.
This is the version that is supposed to have 265BHP.
It has approx 107,000 miles on it and was running before i took delivery of it.
The previous owner kept the fuel pump.

It comes with the FULL and complete loom/harness.Turbo,intercooler system,starter motor and exhaust manifold.
This model of engine does NOT have the immobiliser on it

I also have the vin plate so parts can be bought for it more easily.





Price wise i am going to ask what i paid for it,which is.......£575

I would be prepared to trade as i know cash is tight.....so these are some parts i may be interested in......

Street weight ercos...wide 5....

Good quality narrowed beem,for my 1970 LHD single cab(ball joint)

engine case suitable for a 2165cc

CSP shifter for above single cab

091 6 rib gearbox.....

Just try me ya never know;)

Please note.........this is being sold as seen as i can NOT prove it works...so please keep this in mind

My post code is in the title and i am prepared to stick this on a pallet to help peeps out.
I will add any more info as i remember it.
I am a shift worker so may take a while to reply to any questions but i WILL get back to you.

how much work would this involve to fit just had chat with some one and from what i can work outit not straight forward to just fit to bug do i have to wire the loom in to make warning lights etc to work to get the engine to run properly.what bout my 1600 gearbox will i have to change that ?

No worries on the decklid matey.....

Right the scooby lump............NO its not straight forward mate...........your 1600 gearbox wont last if you start dumping the clutch...........you will need an adapter plate to fit the engine to a vee dub box,a lot of folk go for an 091 6 rib box....(which is out of a type 2...if i recall correct its a 2 litre box)
The loom needs to be stripped down by a specialist

This is not a simple job im afraid fella and can cost big bucks..............i had a quote of between 2 and 3 GRAND to get a gearbox built to take the near 300 horses i was hoping to get outta this donk...

thats what i thought you were going to say thought i remembered you saying bout gearbox being pricey
2\3 grand i could but myself a t4 for that dont honestly think i could justify that for a gearbox
