(me and missus bixit really want stuff that we're gonna use more, so looking at an early mk1 Golf GTI convertible and a P2E vespa)

1977 VW Baywindow poptop camper finished in ford signal green (with some grey primer, and some rust ) its a bit scabby here and there but i reckon it adds to the character! it's lowered (cut and turned on the front, couple of splines at the back) siting on fuch replicas with decent tyres, got an original devon interior, new(ish) 1914 mofoco engine (about 2000 miles old), Mondo phatboy exhaust, etc. etc.

you all know it (... well some of you do!), what d'ya reckon its worth !??

I want it ! whether i can afford it is a different story

I really have no idea how much busses are going for these days or what ours is worth ?

I know what i've spent tho' and it just ain't worth it anymore 'cos we hardly use it (2 shows and one holiday last year and thats it in the last 12 months!!), so time (regrettably) to sell it to someone who will use it and enjoy it !

Me the mrs and kids would definitely use and love it, if your figure is in my budget we could be talking the same language

1977 RHD bay window camper. in ford signal green with patches of primer and rust. its been lowered front and rear and sitting on MWS porsche Fuch replica alloys 4.5J on front 5.5J on rear decent tyres all round. full original devon interior (the one where the bed is made up using the table) including cooker, sink with pump tap, buddy seat, overhead locker, rear drawers, wardrobe, etc. plenty of storage. devon style poptop (small repaired tear, but no leaks) with new vents, painted black, insulated and with upvc liner. two bunks in roof. retro roofrack. external sunvisor. black elephant ear mirrors. empi quick shifter. brazillian bus steering wheel. JVC CD unit with Ipod connection. 1914cc engine (only 2k miles) imported from the US, built with New Engine Case, Stock Forged Crankshaft (69mm Stroke), Blueprnted Connecting Rods, Piston & Barrel Set (94mm Bore), 110 cam, Stock Flywheel, 050 Heads (39mm x 32mm Valves) with HD valve springs, German Lifters, HD Oil Pump, Chrome Valve Covers, New alternator, New Heat Exchangers, Weber Single Progressive Carb, New Fuel Pump and an external oil filter. Bad bits ? well like i said above there is rust patches, (anything really bad has been welded for mot's) some might prefer to spend a few quid and patch up and paint, but i like the way it looks. its got occasional clutch judder in 1st. would probably benefit from a new battery. and definitely would benefit from a new home and some TLC. been looking at what else is out there, and i reckon £7000 is reasonable (bearing in mind the cost/value of the engine). and i'll chuck in the Kham driveaway awning used once at vanfest last year and a justkampers cover.

i'm sure theres more, but can't remember right now.

dont forget the blow up bath matey. usually a good selling point

no tax (cos we ain't used it since last summer, its been stood on the drive under cover, i've just started the engine every now and then to keep it going!)

MOT until end of june (but hardly any mileage done since then, so don't see why it shouldn't go straight thru again!)

Sorry to hear you selling, bays are so popular at the minuate and there isnt enuff in supply to meet the demand, wud prob re-mot a month early and re tax it and then put it on VZI for more, maybe try £7,995 o.n.o. with 13months mot and 6 months tax, Ready to Go! engine is def a good selling point

I'll think about re-mot and vzi if i dont sell within the next couple days/week. but to be honest i'd like to see it go to someone like 'stereo' who'll use and love it, and keep it in fdk. but if his/her? bugdet don't stretch i need to sell cos i got 2 vehicles comin in this week (hopefully?) so need the space and the money.
