I've got the mot for my Splitty on Monday and my klaxon horn is not working.
The wiring seems relatively simple I.e hard 12v straight to klaxon and the circuit seems to be completed via negative on horn push via the steering column. Mine is not working, do I need a relay, how does the earthily work on the steering column? Is there an earthily strap? Brass connector I am missing? Any help would be appreciated.

horns are fuckers , we the - horn push is , first thing is check the clackso. as they seze up really quick , If it worked but now dont I spect it's that , they can be mended . so first thing check you have power to it , if not the fun starts , you don't need a rely , I gues it's 12 v ?

next get a 12v feed and see if the - switching is working at the horn , if it is you need a new 12feef

if not you need to work your way back up the the horn push and find out where you loading the - feed

it may week be the button ,

if you can't get anywhere I simple new cercit for the Mot wont take 5 mins .

let me no how you get on or if I can help , first check it's not seized up by powering it up manaly

ive just re-wired my van with a seperate horn push...........yours should earth thru the horn push itself.

I'll try and sort it tommorrow night, is there anything special that the push earths too? I.e does the brass
Connector on the push simply against the the inner of the steering column or is there angling of connector?

I think it just hit the colum , you can test it with a wire from connection to earth , if it beep the problem the horn push , but I dout the problem will be that end unless you had the wheel off recently
