1970 LHD..Single cab..project on 9/12/2011, 5:43 pm

Right then,
ive finally made a decision on this single cab and im putting her up for sale.
Reason for sale?............i am just not gelling with it and i dont seem to have the drive with it that i normally have with my vee dubs.
From the start,as with all my ad's, i will be bluntly honest when describing her..............if that puts folk off,then so be it..
Right lets get to it.........
She is a 1970 LHD Swedish import Single cab.She was imported into Northern Ireland where she has been used by our Irish friends over there...a good few of whom are on here and will recognise the old girl.I took ownership earlier this year as part of the deal when i sold my oval.
Work that i know needs doing..........
Front chassis legs............
front cab floor...lh side and rh side..(above chassis leg areas)
Dog leg to seat areas.....
I will most probably have forgotten some bits,so,i will add to this thread as i got thru her again......
Needs a front windscreen....
Tail gate and drop sides are present but could do with a tidy up.
Brakes........no brake oil in the system so will need checking,ive already put in brand new rear brakes on both sides..
Electrics....as far as i know,these are fine...BUT....i can NOT be 100% certain as i got her as a non runner...
Engine........there is an engine with the cab but is a non runner again it came like this when i got her.i think its a 1500 single port.I have NO idea on how good/bad this engine may be.
To move the old girl around ive been putting in my spare 1641 just so i could move her.
Wheels.....these are the normal steel wheels you would expect to find on this vehicle....
Load bed area......decent solid condition...
Tool chest......has had work in here before but looks solid...
Doors....in good nick...
Roof and gutters......good nick.
I have started gathering a few bits n bobs for her and will be chucking these in.....headlights......empi shifter(new)
Generally i would say she is in not bad nick,considering she has been off the road for a while......

The parts up there^^^ ive mentioned chassis legs...cab floor..were the areas i was NOT happy with,i have since cut out the cab floor above each chassis leg...........(pics in link below)

The cab is located at my home in Dufftown...North East Scotland..
Price..................
Initially i am looking to sell ONLY,as i am already in contact with a fella selling what i want next.............IF that sells before this then and only then will i consider swaps/part ex's............
Price is £3250ono............................Now £3000 ONO
If i lose out on the other vehicle then below is what i would like to deal with.....
1.Karman Ghia......
2.Early bug......
3.something interesting...try me
I WILL be adding more pics to THIS thread over the next few days,so long as photo-bucket plays the game.I AM working all this weekend so please bare with me when needing a reply or more pics
She is still on her N.I plates which i was gonna leave on and i have a new UK V5 in my name..
Feel free to ask any questions and i will get back to you........and like i say i WILL be adding MORE pics........lots of em along with more info as i get chance shifts allowing
