Drove home from work this morning and thought to myself "This Fasty is ACE!! Very Happy ". Pulled up on the drive, turned it off, took out the key and the generator light stayed on??? Tried turning it on and off, started it up and the light goes out as normal. Switched it off again and the light stays on???

That's weird confused Disconnected the battery and went to bed Sleep

Any ideas?

When I put new engine in I replaced battery earth strap and dynamo to alternator it fixed it.
This lead me to think it was 1 of them or external regulator??

50p better than nothing! lol Have you disconnected blue cable from regulator and put to ground to see if the light goes off, if it does you have a fault in earth somewhere I can't remember what cable is called I think it was blue and green in beetle.?
